The Associate Project Manager is responsible for supporting various client and internal agency projects through initiation through execution. This position helps organize agency projects that are within the creative and digital realm to ensure we are on track within scope and meet our deadline.

Responsibilities

  • Supports project management department by implementing estimates into agency software
  • Develop initial timelines that are relevant to the project deliverable and targeted deadlines
  • Assist Project Management team and Executive Creative Director with team resourcing on new projects
  • Organize vendor estimates and helps coordinate print-production schedules and internal proof reviews
  • Responsible for initial project set-up with agency’s standard core tools
  • Aides in establishing actionable plans to achieve short-term and long-term project success
  • Drafts timely internal meeting notes and ensures team members are clear on project next steps and the best path forward
  • Owns the schedule for small-scale projects to ensure the quality control of deliverables
  • Reports on project risk, status and other project-specific metrics to assigned account team
  • Effectively manages agency department expectations
  • Provides support for Project Manager and Senior Project Manager

  • Passionate about success, energetic and engaging with different internal departments
  • Establishes sound and effective working relationships with all internal departments
  • Resolves conflicts or roadblocks that would interfere with completing assigned projects
  • Extraordinary planning, organization and prioritization discipline necessary to handle multiple project requests simultaneously
  • Overall positive attitude while working with multiple internal departments and external vendors

Fiscal Responsibility

  • Ensures budgets are accurately reflected in the project management software for account review and approval

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Marketing is preferred, but not required
  • 3-years of experience in project management or relevant agency experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft word and Microsoft Excel 
  • Preferred experience in Basecamp, Workamajig and Microsoft Project
