CG Life, an integrated marketing communications agency focused on the life science and healthcare markets is looking for an enthusiastic, self-starting Digital Media Planner to join our San Diego or Chicago office. The Digital Media Planner supports the day-to-day operations for assigned advertising accounts.  They partner with Account Managers and Directors while leading media planning and buying, campaign implementation and maintenance for digital media programs.  They serve as the primary point of contact for media vendors, ensuring media plans run smoothing and performance data is tracked efficiently and accurately.

This role will be critical in supporting and growing the paid media department by staying on top of tactics and technologies, coordinating regular meetings with media partners/publishers, maintaining the vendor contact database and implementing paid digital campaigns.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, executing, managing, and optimizing end-to-end campaign, this includes preparing insertions orders, keeping track of and alerting the team to deadlines and changes in timing, verifying campaigns are delivered as scheduled, updating media plans, aiding with metrics collection and reports
  • Design strategic media plans and client presentations
  • Understanding upper funnel [brand messaging, calls to action] and lower funnel [direct response, conversion] campaign tactics
  • Partnering closely with internal teams including account management, content, and analytics to create content alignment, define metrics and measure success of campaigns using internal analytics
  • Demonstrating diligence, attention to detail and adherence to best practices throughout the full digital campaign process
  • Managing vendor contact database
  • Working within all necessary advertising programs – e.g. BIONIC and Sizmek
  • Fine attention to detail – maintaining clean and clear file organization, adhering to agency and client brand guidelines, data collection and analysis
  • Leading client meetings with the support of Account Managers and Directors
  • Showing interest in continuing to grow knowledge of digital media space
  • Maintaining and organizing campaign-specific materials in the team’s shared document folders
  • Developing, growing, and maintaining relationships with internal teams through excellent client service and becoming a trusted resource.
  • Utilizing strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts fluidly and cross functionally.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of related work experience in advertising, marketing, or marketing communications
  • Bonus to have experience in media-related software, such as BIONIC and Sizmek
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and knowledge of media-related software
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Process oriented, with the ability to manage all aspects of a campaign
  • Programmatic media knowledge and experience is a plus
