Position: Account Supervisor

Description

The Account Supervisor at CG Life is a strategic, energetic, and highly motivated team member with a tried-and-true method for delivering exceptional services for clients in the life sciences, healthcare, and biopharma sectors. This role manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of several assigned accounts as a client partner.

This person has prior healthcare, biopharma, or life science agency experience, understands complex industry trends, and has the skills and insight to reach a variety of stakeholders. The Account Supervisor works within the Client Services department and uses their experience to be hands-on and collaborative communications professionals as they work with the larger integrated agency team and clients to develop complex marketing projects, programs, and campaigns. These initiatives will often be technical or consultative in nature, such as major websites, CRM-driven campaign work, strategic consulting, technology implementations, digital marketing processes, change management, and data strategy. 

Key Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Client Relationships

  • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring proactive communication and relationship management.
  • Takes initiative to drive work and conversations forward, managing client questions and challenges independently. Strong facilitator/leader in meetings.
  • Manages client expectations to foster productive and effective working partnerships.
  • Professionally manages tricky or complex client conversations.

Account Growth

  • Able to identify opportunities within current accounts through strong client relationships and strategic insights.
  • Initiates conversations that open doors for exploring expanded services and partnerships.

Account Finance

  • Manages budget tracking and ensures clear communication with the client, including estimates, actuals, and project completion metrics.

 

Project Oversight

  • Responsible for managing daily account work on assigned brand(s), ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meeting client expectations.
  • Responsible for flawless project execution with attention to detail and quality.
  • Facilitates and leads tactical meetings and discussions with confidence and clarity.
  • Demonstrates and applies extensive knowledge of assigned client(s) business to ensure strategic alignment in all deliverables.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment to anticipate and effectively solve challenges.

Leadership & Strategic Guidance

  • Upholds agency values while following processes and leading interactions with clients, internal staff, freelancers, and vendors.
  • Actively listens, participates, and contributes to strategic discussions and meetings.
  • Attends market research, captures notes, and shares insights and observations.

Internal Relationships

  • Establishes strong working relationships with all day-to-day functional team members.
  • Builds partnerships with project management and finance teams to ensure seamless collaboration.

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define, deliver, and present assigned work.
  • Contributes thoughtfully to annual planning and creative work.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of the client’s business and ensures strategic alignment in tactical execution.
  • Can demonstrate a base understanding of omnichannel marketing concepts and campaigns, including best practices across digital channels, data management, analytics, and related technologies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of healthcare or life sciences agency experience or experience in a fast-paced life sciences/healthcare organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to independently manage projects and make informed decisions, balancing the agency and client's goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and agile, with the ability to quickly change course when the need arises.
  • A deep understanding of the industry (life sciences, biopharma, and healthcare) is preferred

At CG Life, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. As required by law in this state, the estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000 and represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range based on organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic zone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At CG Life, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higher end of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety of factors. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the plan. CG Life offers a variety of benefits, including health benefits, 401K retirement with a generous company match and immediate vesting, and flexible time off.
